Why Lilikoi.
Lilikoʻi is passion fruit. The name is a nod to Hawaiʻi and to the work itself: passion for a culture that is too often flattened into theme-park décor. We keep a mainland directory so island people and island-curious neighbors can find each other — and we put live Hawaiian music on East Coast stages.
The company stands behind two works: Hawaiian Yellow Pages, the flagship, and Puʻuloa Hawaiian Band.
Founder
A native of Pearl City, Hawaiʻi.
The founder carries Hawaiian steel guitar, hula, and kanikapila to the East Coast — lead vocals and a multi-instrumentalist’s kit of steel guitar, electric guitar, ʻukulele, bass, and saxophone.
A U.S. Army veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, 101st Airborne Division. Stages shared with Grammy-winning steel guitarist Bobby Ingano and a long list of players still talked about like family.
