Hawaiian Yellow Pages

A book for people far from home.

A living yellow pages for Kamaʻāina, Kānaka ʻŌiwi, Pacific Islander, and Island Roots owners — U.S. mainland, and ʻohana abroad. A project of Lilikoi Productions, LLC.

This book is for the plate-lunch windows, lei stands, hālau, and family shops that followed the people — and for anyone looking for a business that still answers to home. More Kamaʻāina and Pacific Islanders now live on the continent than most visitor guides will admit.

Listings are reviewed before they go in. Basic listings are free. Nothing publishes until it is vetted.

How we mark ownership.

Kamaʻāina-owned

Born or raised in Hawaiʻi — local Japanese, Korean, Filipino, Chinese, Portuguese, Okinawan, Puerto Rican, Hapa, Haole, and mixed.

Kānaka ʻŌiwi–owned

Owned by Kānaka ʻŌiwi: of aboriginal Hawaiian descent, including mixed lineage.

Pacific Islander–owned

Samoan, Tongan, CHamoru, Fijian, Marshallese, Māori, and kin across Moananuiākea.

Island Roots

A genuine tie to Hawaiʻi or the Pacific — married in, stationed there, family across the water. Not a weekend vacation.
